Statement of Faith

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
This is a brief declaration of our doctrinal stand and is not intended to be an exhaustive statement of all that we believe the Word of God to teach.
We believe that all Scripture has been given to us by inspiration of God, that "holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." We believe that being "moved" by the Holy Spirit of God, the penmen were kept from error in the original writings. We believe the Holy Scriptures have been preserved through the ages by God, and that they are our only infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe the Authorized King James Bible is the only preserved translation for the English speaking people.
Ps. 12:6-7; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Cor. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21; Matt. 12:26, 36; Acts 1:16, 2:4; Heb. 1:1-2
We believe there is one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that they are the same in substance and are equal in attributes, power and glory.
Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4; Gen. 1:26; Deut. 6:4; Acts 5:3-4; 1 John 5:7; Matt. 28:19-20; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2
We believe in the personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ for the true Church, which we refer to as "the Rapture." We believe in the personal, visible and glorious coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the Tribulation Period to set up His Millennial Kingdom upon this earth.
John 14:3; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Luke 12:35-40; Jer. 23:4-6; Acts 1:10-11; 15:14-16;
Rev. 19:11-16; Psalm 96; Dan. 7:13-14; Luke 21:25-28; Matt. 19:28; 24:27-31; 25:31; Rev. 20:4-6; 1 Thess. 4:14-18; Phil. 3:20-21; Isaiah 9:7
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe He is the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that Jesus is the true God and true Man in one Person, and that He is the only Savior that God has provided for lost humanity.
John 1:1-4; 20:28; Matt. 1:20-25; Col. 1:19; 2:9; Heb. 4:15-16; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Tim. 3:16; John 4:6; 11:35; John 3:16
We believe the True Church is the Body of Christ. We believe that anyone who receives Jesus Christ as his or her own personal Savior by grace through faith, becomes a member of the Body of Christ, the True Church.
Matt. 16:16-18; 1 Cor. 12:12-27; Acts 2:32-47; Eph. 4:1-6; Rom. 12:5
We believe our redemption has been purchased solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and that redemption is for "whosoever" that will call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved, thus rejecting the unbiblical teachings of Calvinism. We believe that Jesus Christ was made a curse for us; that He died as our substitute, and that we can add nothing or subtract anything from His victorious work on Calvary. We believe that true saving faith consists of repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; that He alone begins salvation in us, continues it, and will complete it by His own mighty power which worketh in us.
Matt. 26:28; 2 Cor. 5:21; John 1:12; 3:16, 36; 6:37; 10:28-29; 5:24; Rom. 3:21-31; 5:6-9; 10:9-10; Gal. 3:13; Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 4:12; 1 Pet. 1:18-19; Heb. 9:26
We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe He ascended to the Father and is presently working as the only Mediator between God and man; that He alone is our Advocate and High Priest.
Matt. 28:6; 1 Cor. 15:3-8; Luke 24:39; Heb. 4:14-16; 7:25; 9:24; Rom. 4:25; Acts 1:9; 2:32-33; 1 Tim. 2:5
We believe man was created in the image of God, and that through the fall of Adam, sin has been passed on to each member of the human race. We believe the natural man is totally depraved, having no righteousness of his own, and that natural man is incapable of obeying the laws of God. We believe that natural man is under condemnation and deserves the second death, which is eternal separation from God.
Gen. 1:26; 2:17; 6:5; Eph. 2:1-3; Jer. 17:9; 1 Cor. 2:14; Phil. 3:4-9; Rom. 1:18; 3:20; 4:5; 5:12-19; Psalm 14:1-3; 51:5; 58:3; Isaiah 64:6; Titus 3:5; James 2:10
We believe there are only two ordinances which the Lord would have us practice until He returns: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe Baptism is essential to obedience, but is not essential for salvation. We believe the Lord's Supper is an ordinance of "remembrance" of the sacrifice of Christ for our sins on the cross of Calvary. We reject the heretical teachings of the Catholic Church concerning Transubstantiation (the unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine becoming the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ) and Consubstantiation (the body and blood of Jesus Christ being present in the unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine, but do not transform.) We reject the use of fermented wine in the ordinance of the Lord's Supper.
Matt. 28:19; Acts 8:36-38; 9:18; 16:33; Rom. 6:3-10; 1 Cor. 11:23-27; Matt. 26:26-30
We believe in the resurrection of both, the saved and the lost. The saved, or those who have received Jesus Christ as Savior before death in this life, will be raised unto the resurrection of life. The lost, or those who rejected God's gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, before death, will be raised unto the resurrection of damnation and doomed to the Lake of Fire for all eternity.
